Hazel Agnes (Sherwood) Kemp, age 80, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Grand Horizons in Appleton, WI. She was born in Seymour, WI on January 18, 1934 to the late Jay and Sadie (Smith) Sherwood. She married the love of her life on February 7, 1952. Bryan and Hazel shared 62 happy, wonderful years together. Hazel enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards, playing shuffle board, reading, her flower gardens, music in the park and most of all family & friends. Hazel is survived by her husband, Bryan; her 5 children, Julie Kemp, Toni (Bob) Roberts, Mike (Alice Maas) Kemp, all of Appleton; Rick (Cindy) Kemp, Neenah; Amy (Tim Krueger) Kemp, Hortonville. Hazel is also survived by her 10 grandchildren; Ed, Bryan and Dean Urch, Heather and Chad Roberts, Jessica and Joseph Kemp, Bob, Chris and Lisa Becker; and 16 great grandchildren. She is further survived by a sister, Vera Holzer and a brother, Glen (Charlotte) Sherwood. Hazel was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy; a daughter, Jody Becker; two sisters, Opal Smoot and June Holzer; two brothers, Ray and Frank Sherwood. A memorial service for Hazel will be held 5:00PM Friday, March 7, 2014 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, Chaplain Brad McIntyre officiating. Hazel's family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00PM until the hour of service. In lieu flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name. Hazel's family would like to give a special thank you to all the girls at Grand Horizons from making moms last year a happy one and Hospice Home Care for the extra care & compassion at the end of her life.
