  John C. Schwarzbauer, Sr., age 95 died peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home in Menasha. John was born June 12, 1918 in Menasha son of the late Carl and Rena (Gambsky) Schwarzbauer. He was a lifelong Menasha area resident and was a graduate of St. Mary Catholic High School in Menasha. John was united in marriage to Delores Ann Ginke on June 18, 1947 at St Patrick Catholic Church of Menasha. Together they worked on the family farm for several years and were blessed with seven children. John also was formerly employed with Banta in Menasha and retired in 1980. He was a very faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church of Menasha. John enjoyed gardening, riding bike and bowling. Most of all he loved spending family time at the cottage. John is lovingly survived by his wife, Delores of 66 years; and their seven children, Vicky (Wayne) Genske, Menasha; John Carl Schwarzbauer, Jr., Menasha; Cathy (Randy) Fieck, Little Chute; Jim Schwarzbauer, Neenah; Carl Schwarzbauer, Menasha; Lucy (Joe) Czarnik, Appleton; and Bill (Tammy) Schwarzbauer, Neenah; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Schwarzbauer. A private family gathering will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 and a private family memorial service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Valley Funeral Home.
