  Mrs. Mary Kalk, 83, 1002 N. Appleton street, died at 3 o'clock this morning in Appleton after a long illness. Born in 1855 in Sheboygan, she moved to Manitowoc after her marriage and to Kaukauna 50 years ago. Since 1918 she lived in Sheboygan, Chicago, and Appleton. She was a member of the Christian Mothers society of St. Therese church. Survivors are four sons, George and Lester, Chicago; Arthur, Flushing, Wis.; and Walter, Texarkana, Tex.; one brother, Henry Fessler, Sheboygan; one sister, Mrs. Ann Heiting, Appleton; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 Thursday morning at Fargo Funeral home in Kaukauna and at 9 o'clock St. Therese church in Appleton with the Rev. M. A. Hauch in charge. Burial will be in Union cemetery at Kaukauna. Prayers will be held at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
