DeCoster, Raymond J.Raymond J. DeCoster, "Dick", Appleton, age 86, passed away in Applet on on Thursday, September 15, 2005. He was born in Little Chute on Septemb er 1, 1919, son of the late Louis and Mary (Verhagen) DeCoster. Dick serv ed in the South Pacific in the United States Army during World War II. Aft er the service he married Barbara Dercks in Little Chute on August 23, 194 7. Dick's hobbies included reading, fishing and being an avid Packers fan.Dick is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barb, children: Karen (James) Wi lkinson, Appleton; Kay (Greg) Heindel, Waupaca; Jean (Brian) McMahon, Appl eton; grandchildren: Jon McMahon and Aaron Wilkinson; sister, Marian DeCos ter, Appleton; brothers-in-law: Nicholas and Joseph Dercks; sisters-in-la w: Geri Truyman, Mary Jane (Bob) Hartjes; Christine DeCoster and Peggy DeC oster; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brothers: Clarence, Richard, Joseph, Leste r, Robert and Chester DeCoster; and a sister, Lucina Miller.The funeral liturgy will be at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 200 5, at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 E. Lourdes Dr., Appleton, wi th Fr. Don Zuleger officiating. Friends will be received at the church fr om 9:30 a.m. until the time of the liturgy.
