  Ada C. (Neuschaefer) Hearden, Appleton, age 96, passed away at Francisc an Care Center in Appleton on Tuesday, January 24, 2006. She was born in W eyauwega on May 29, 1909, daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Braun) Neu schaefer. On August 25, 1928, she married Harold Hearden. He preceded h er in death in 1976. Ada was a charter member of St. Thomas More Cathol ic Church and enjoyed playing bingo there with her friends. Ada is survived by her daughter, Carol Edelman, Appleton; grandchildren: C harlene (Martin) Van Groll, Appleton; Dennis Edelman, Appleton; Diane Edel man, Appleton; great-grandchildren: Chad Van Groll, Appleton; Angie (Ro b) Heibler, Evansville; Jeremy Van Groll, Appleton; great great-grandchild ren: Brandon Van Groll, Jacob Van Groll, and Adelyn Heibler; special frien ds, Jacob and Joyce Paltzer, Appleton; sister-in-law, Margaret Hearden, Ap pleton; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold; son, James H earden; and a son-in-law, Harold Edelman. The funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 26, 2006, at S T. THOMAS MORE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1810 N. McDonald St. Appleton, with Fr. Ge rald Falk officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 a. m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Appleton Highla nd Memorial Park. The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and aides at Francisc an Care Center for their wonderful care. Further, a very special thank y ou to Fr. Gerald Falk, and to Sr. Betty Reinders and Sr. Mary Rose Mennti ng for their many visits. A memorial fund in Ada's name is being established.
