  MAN DENIES DRIVING WHILE HE WAS DRUNK Elmer Wendland, Kaukauna, pleaded not guilty before Judge Theodore Berg in municipal court Tuesday morning of drunken driving. Trial was set for Wednesday afternoon and Wendland furnished $100 bonds. Lester McHugh, Neenah, who was with Wendland at the time of his arrest, pleaded guilty of disorderly conduct Tuesday morning and was fined 510 and costs. The two men were arrested about 12:20 Tuesday morning following a chase by Fred Arndt, motorcycle officer, on E. Water-st. The officer noticed the car was being driven in an erratic manner and.he decided to investigate. He chased the machine and as he neared it McHugh threw out a bottle in the road in front of him.
