  Nowell, Esther D. (Yingling) ( Powers) nee: Wiatrowski Appleton, Age 85, passed away from a short illness on Tuesday, Februa ry 5, 2002 at Carolina Manor. She was born in Duck Creek, Wisconsin on Ju ly 24, 1916 to the late Frank and Pauline (Pawlowski) Wiatrowski. She marr ied Edward Nowell on December 10, 1988. She was a member of St. John Unit ed Church of Christ. Esther worked at Sears and Treasure Island; retiri ng in 1981. She did volunteer work at St. Elizabeth Hospital.She is survived by her husband, Edward Nowell; daughter, Beverly Mentz, S an Jose, California; son, Allen (Judy) Yingling, Black Creek; five grandch ildren: Connie (Jim) Saunders, Appleton; Scott Schulze, San Jose, Californ ia; Dawn (Eddie) Bell, Milpitas, California; David (Kathy) Micke, Kimberl y; Steven (Becky) Micke, Green Bay; eight great-grandchildren and a great- great-grandchild; sister, Leona Goss, Green Bay; sisters-in-law: Helen Wia trowski, Joan Wiatrowski, Loretta La Bell; nieces, nephews, other relativ es and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by h er first husband, Norbert Yingling; second husband, Nathan "Sonny" Power s; brothers: Louis "Mike" Wiatrowski, Sylvester "Syl" Wiatrowski, Harry Wi atrowski, Edmund "Eddie" Wiatrowski, Raymond Wiatrowski; and sister, Agn es Larcheid.The Funeral Service will be on Friday, February 8, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the V alley Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Fritz officiating. The visitation wi ll be on Friday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the ser vice. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. The family would like to t hank the caregivers and staff at Carolina Manor, who cared for Esther f or two years. Valley Funeral Home Last name may also be spelled Wistrowski.
