    Strick, Willi am M. "Bill"William "Bill" M. Strick, age 82, Marshfield, WI, died February 23, 200 6, at St. Joseph Hospital, Marshfield, WI. Bill was born April 28, 192 3, in Little Chute, WI. He was the first born son of Arnold and Blanche (P ennings) Strick. On May 2, 1942, Bill married Doris McCormick in Kaukaun a, WI. She survives.Bill graduated from St. John's High School in Little Chute, WI; class of 1 941. He was a member of the Jacob Coppus Post 258 of the American Legi on of Little Chute for over 60 years making him the oldest member of the p ost. Bill was in the 113th Naval Construction Battalion during World War I I.Bill loved to fish and go deer hunting with his son-in-law. He played a wi cked game of sheepshead and cribbage.Bill is survived by his wife, Doris (McCormick) Strick, daughter and son-i n-law, Robbie and Richard Berg, Pittsville; sisters: Loretta Kinder, Kauka una, WI; Marie Thiel, Kimberly, WI; brothers: Earl (Nip) and Lois Stric k, Kimberly, WI; Paul (Beeler) and Arsela Strick, Little Chute, WI; Robe rt (Bob) and Patti Strick, Menasha, WI; a step-grandson, Christopher C. Be rg, Marshfield, WI; also Robbie's best friend, Karen (Wenzel) Dahl, Dulut h, MN; who was like a second daughter to Bill and Doris. Also surviving Bi ll are numerous nieces and nephews and his buddy, Bandit.Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brothers-in-law, Paul Kinder a nd Roger Thiel, sister-in-law, Lotte Strick, wife's family: parents, Willi am Sr. and Margaret McCormick, Louis McCormick, William Jr. and Myrtle McC ormick, Clark McCormick, George (Sonny) and Mary Margaret (Mae) Weyenbe rg and pets, Freddie and Buttons.Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation Society of WI, E au Claire, is handling the funeral arrangements. Burial will take pla ce at Highland Memorial, Appleton, WI.The family would like to thank Dr. Gary Van Oudenhoven and Linda of the Ma rshfield Clinic for the special care over the years. Also, Dr.'s Duffy a nd Dart, the Nephrology Staff of Marshfield Clinic and the nurses of St. J oseph Hospital for the care and concern over the past week.A memorial will be established at a later date.
