    Raymond S. Van Handel, age 87, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday morning, September 7, 2011 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. He was born on October 7, 1923, son of the late William and Margaret (Vanden Bloomen) Van Handel.
    On April 5, 1945 he was united in marriage to Hortense Smet, in Kaukauna, she preceded him in death on November 6, 1997. Ray and his wife farmed in the Town of Cicero for many years.

    Frederick L. Vander Bloomen, Kaukauna, age 78, passed away peacefully at Appleton Medical Center on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. He was born in Kaukauna on April 7, 1929, the son of the late Frederick and Louise (Vanden Bloomer) Vander Bloomen. Fred was proud to serve in the United States Navy in 1946 and served on the U.S.S. Kersarge. He married his wife of 56 years, Jean Servaes in Kaukauna on October 20, 1951.
    Fred worked for the Kaukauna Electric and Water Department (Kaukauna Utilities) and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Fred enjoyed playing the keyboard, the accordion, and going to the casino. He also enjoyed gardening and raising animals. His family was very important to him, including spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his love of Honda Goldwings with side cars, being a "jack of all trades," and being a jokester.
    Fred is survived by his wife, Jean, children: Dale Vander Bloomen, Kaukauna; Lori (Greg) Welhouse, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Mindy and Tracy Vander Bloomen and Alicia Welhouse, Kaukauna; sisters: Alma (Tony) Gazzanna, West Allis; Lucille Hopfensperger, Eugene, Oregon; Jane (Emil) St. John, Kaukauna; and Joan (Joseph) Lewandowski, Kimberly; and daughter-in-law, Sue Allgeyer, Kaukauna.
    He is preceded in death by his son, James Vander Bloomen on November 13, 1996; brothers and sisters: Floyd and Richie Vander Bloomen, Alice (Bob) Nack, Carol (Lawrence) Van Cuyk, and Gerald (Marie) Vanden Bloomen.
    The funeral service will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at the Fargo Funeral Home, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Kaukauna.

    Carol Ann Van Cuyk, age 73, of Combined Locks, went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 27, 2006. Carol was born on February 16, 1933, in Kaukauna to the late Fred and Lucille (Vanden Bloomer) Vander Bloomen. She married Lawrence Van Cuyk on May 11, 1957, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kaukauna; he preceded her in death on July 12, 1977.
    As a young woman, Carol was employed by Zwicker Knitting Mills in Appleton and later worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She enjoyed travel, was a member of the Kimberly Homemakers Club for over twenty years, and was also a member of the William Verhagen Post #609 American Legion Auxiliary. She was also a faithful and active member of the Fox Valley Christian Fellowship in Kimberly.
    Survivors include her children: Michael (Karen) Van Cuyk of Freedom; Cheryl Van Cuyk of Combined Locks; and Dawn (Randy) Forster of Appleton; a grandson, Adam Forster of Appleton; her brother, Fred (Jean) Vander Bloomen of Kaukauna; her sisters: Alma (Tony) Gazzana of Milwaukee; Lucille Hopfensperger of Eugene, Oregon; Jane (Emil) St. John of Kaukauna; and Joan (Joe) Lewandowski of Kimberly. She is further survived by sisters-in-law: Gert Vande Hey of Wrightstown; Lucina (Ernie) LuBay of McHenry, Ill.; Lois Van Cuyk of Combined Locks, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

    Joan Lucy (Vander Bloomen) Lewandowski, age 80, passed away October 16th, 2016. She was born March 4th 1936 to Fred and Lucy Vander Bloomen in Kaukauna Wisconsin. She Married Joseph (Louie) Lewandowski on July 27, 1957. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2015.
    Joan graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1954 and was a full time mother for years before working for several companies which include Gimbel's, Sears, and Akrosil.
    Joan was very active in the Kimberly Homemakers for years as well as being active with Holy Name Parish. Louie and Joan worked with the Holy Name Food Closet, they delivered Meals on Wheels, visited area nursing homes, worked with Fishes and Loaves and provided rides through the Thompson Center. Joan was very involved with the American Legion as well.
    Upon retirement Louie and Joan took up traveling quite extensively. They wintered in California for years. They were able to visit Hawaii with Tom and their favorite trip was to Europe to visit Bob and Cyndi.
    Joan and Louie spent many a Saturday night having a meal at Joe and Deb's and then playing Sheepshead for hours along with Pam.
    Joan is survived by her children Pam (special friend Gene), Joe (Deb), Bob (Cyndi), and Tom (Pam), her grandchildren BJ (Jenny) Schmidt, Bill Schmidt (special friend Nicole), Joe (Michele) Lewandowski, Marc Lewandowski, Christian Lewandowski, Lauren Lewandowski, Vincent Lewandowski, and Kimberly Lewandowski; great grandchildren Kylie Lewandowski, Brodie Schmidt, Alivia Schmidt, and Kennedy Lewandowski. She is further survived by a sister Jane St. John and sister in law Jean Vander Bloomen. She is further survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
    In addition to her parents and husband Joan was preceded in death by brothers Richard, Floyd, Jerry (Marie), and Fred; sisters Alma (Tony), Lucille, Alice (Bob) and Carol (Larry).
    The family of Joan would like to thank all of the caregivers at Atrium Post Acute for their dedicated service to making Mom comfortable these last few years.
    The funeral liturgy for Joan will be on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00am at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 Pine Street in Little Chute with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating.
    Visitation will be at Jansen-Fargo Funeral Home in Kimberly on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and at the church on Monday October 31, 2016 from 10:00am to 11:00am. For more information and to express condolences, please visit www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com.
