    Janssen, Mary E.Mary E. Janssen of Combined Locks. On Thursday, November 3, 2005, God need ed another angel and called Mary Janssen, age 84, up to heaven. Mary was b orn September 25, 1921, to the late Andrew and Minnie (Van Lanen) Kerkho ff in the Town of Holland. She married Charles Janssen on August 18, 195 1, at St. Theresa Catholic Church and they recently celebrated their 54 th wedding anniversary. One of Mary's fondest memories was her marriage d ay and the joy, wonder and possibility at the first day of a life togeth er with Charles. Mary once wrote that she felt her significant accomplishm ent in life was being a homemaker, mother and wife, giving her a future wo rth living for.She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the VFW Post 10544 Auxili ary of Senior Citizens of Combined Locks. Mary enjoyed bowling, sheephe ad and being an active member at St. Paul's Parish.She is survived by her husband, Charles Janssen; two sons and a daughter-i n-law: Charles (Jo Ellen) Janssen Jr., Kimberly; and Daniel "Banjo" Jansse n, Kimberly; two daughters: Janice Vanden Heuvel, Kimberly; and Ellen Wend t, Appleton; five grandchildren: Lori (Paul) Barth, Mary (Rick) Landeau, L ynn, Mark and Randy Vanden Heuvel; a great-grandchild, Andy Barth; a siste r, Vera Feldcamp; and three sisters-in-law: Dorothy, Mary Alice and Margar et Kerkhoff; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters: Carrie, So phia, Julia, Edna, Julius, Raymond, David, Adrian, Louis, Sr. Lois, Ida, R ichard, Mark and Paul; and two sons-in-law: Jerome Vanden Heuvel and Tom W endt.Mary's Mass of Christian Burial will be 5 p.m. on Monday, November7, 200 5, at ST. PAUL'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 410 E. Wallace Street, Combined Locks wi th Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Friends will be received on Monday at the Ch urch from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will take place in t he parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. T he Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.     Obituary:
    Ellen A. Wendt, age 55, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011, at her residence, following a short illness. Ellen is now reunited with her husband who preceded her in death. She was born in Appleton on January 16, 1956, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Kerkhoff) Janssen. Ellen was a graduate of Kimberly High School, class of 1974. She furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh achieving a B.S.E. degree in Communicative Disorders and her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Ellen was presently employed by the Waupun Area School District as a speech pathologist. She will be dearly missed by her special needs students, family, and friends. She loved making Christmas candy with her family every year, playing bingo at Oneida with friends, cooking and baking, shopping off the QVC network for anything and everything green. Ellen enjoyed watching and receiving tips from Rachel Rae, and excelling at the Farmville game on Facebook. She truly loved her job teaching and loved each and every child she taught.
    Ellen is survived by a sister, Janice Vanden Heuvel; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Charles (Jo Ellen) Janssen and Daniel "Banjo" Janssen, all of Kimberly; nieces and nephews: Lori Barth (fiance Wayne "man enough to hold a purse" Brockman), Lynn Vanden Heuvel, Mark Vanden Heuvel, and Mary (Rick) Landeau; and a great-nephew, Andy (Amy) Barth.
    Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband Thomas.
    Funeral services for Ellen will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, with Deacon George Schraufnagel officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Parish Cemetery in Combined Locks. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Ellen's name is being established.
