  Loretta K. Kinder, 98, passed away Thursday, July 20, at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. She was born to Arnold and Blanche (Pennings) Strick on June 23, 1919 in Little Chute, Wisconsin. Loretta married Paul E. Kinder on February 15, 1941. They lived in Little Chute until 1955 when they built and moved to a new house in Kimberly. They resided there the remainder of their married life until his death January 1, 2001. Loretta was content being a homemaker most of her life, as well as working part-time for Zwickers in Appleton for many years. She was well known for her lifelong hobby of knitting baby booties and slippers for people. Surviving family members include a daughter Kathleen (Ronald) Kusta of Kaukauna, and a son Jim (Janie) of Neenah, along with Janie's two children Jason and Jennifer Evers, and her grandchild Macie Jane. Also surviving are two brothers, Paul (Arsella) Strick of Little Chute, and Robert (Char Darllng) of Menasha, a sister-in-law Lois Strick of Kimberly, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband, were one sister Marie (Roger) Thiel, and two brothers Bill (Doris) Strick, and Earl Strick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 24, in the Schmidt Chapel at St. Paul Elder Services, 316 E. 14th St, Kaukauna, Wisconsin. Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm with service to follow at 4:00. The family would like to thank all the wonderful and caring staff members at St. Paul Elder Services for their care of Loretta throughout her many years there. Additionally, our sincere appreciation and gratitude to the medical professionals on Floor 5 at Thedacare Hospital and the Thedacare Hospice team, for their kindness and compassion during Loretta's last few days of life.
