Alexis was the oldest s on of Henry and Rosa (Vanderheyden) Nooyen. Alexis and Adelia were my gran dparents. Adelia died shortly after giving birth to John Nooyen, and Alex is continued to run the farm in Bay Settlement and never remarried. My mot her, Rose Nooyen (1901-1952), was just 2 years old when her mother (Adeli a) died, and she was sent to be raised by Adelia's sister, Rose (Herman s) Jacobs.
