- Kevin J. Kamps, Appleton, age 49, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at home. He was born June 13, 1957, in Kaukauna, to James and Mary (McGoey) Kamps. Kevin was a 1975 Kaukauna High School graduate and graduated from UW Oshkosh in 1980, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History. He was employed by the State of Wisconsin as a Supervisor of Meat and Food Safety. Kevin enjoyed baseball, football, golf, and NASCAR racing.
He is survived by his parents: James and Mary Kamps, Appleton; his son, Tyler and daughter, Audrey, both at home; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Kara (Bernie) Hietpas, and their family, Christopher, Alexandria and Benjamin, Kaukauna, and Katie (Travis) Kroner, and their family, Kip and Kamryn, Combined Locks. He is further survived by his children's mother, Amy Basten, Appleton.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary.
Kevin's Funeral Services will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2007, at Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for his children's education. 920-766-2099
