- Marie H. Lucassen, Kaukauna, 91, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Appleton Medical Center. She was born in Kaukauna on April 6, 1916, to the late August and Amelia (Vanevenhoven) Heindel. Marie married Lloyd Lucassen on Thanksgiving Day, 1947, at St. Norbert's. He preceded her in death June 8, 1982. She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Parish in Kaukauna. Marie enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking and baking.
Marie is survived by her children, JoAnn (Michael) Schroeder, Gibson City, Ill. and John (Sharon) Lucassen, Green Bay; nine grandchildren, Laura (Steve) Schuette, Jason, Travis, Liza, Cord (Katie) and Jared (Lindsay) Schroeder, Aaron (Lou), Randy (Courtney) and Emily Lucassen; three great-grandchildren, Rachel Schuette, Parker Schroeder and Brett Lucassen; and one brother, Duane (Ann) Heindel. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Marie was preceded in death by her brother, Louis Heindel and sister, Lorraine (Ivan) VanAkkeren.
The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday July 30, 2007, at HOLY CROSS PARISH (301 Desnoyer St., Kaukauna) with the Rev. David J. Funk, OFM Cap. officiating. Visitation will start at 9 a.m. Monday until the time of Mass directly at church. Committal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute.
