- Dorothy E. Hietpas, age 77, of Little Chute, died Wednesday, August 16, 20 06 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born in Appleton on October 19, 19 28 to the late Peter and Marie (Wydeven) Bootz. On October 15, 1949, she m arried Donald H. Hietpas at St. Therese Catholic Church in Appleton. In 19 69, they founded Don Hietpas & Sons, Inc. The company was a huge part of t heir life. She worked up until one week ago. Her work brought her great jo y. Her greatest pride in life was her family. Her love was unconditiona l. God's gift to us was our mother. We are better people because of her.She was a faithful member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Litt le Chute. Her devotion to the daily rosary was unending, even until deat h. She taught us much about goodness & generosity. We will always be thank ful to God for the gift she was to all of us.Dorothy is survived by five children: Steve (Jessie) of Little Chute; S tu (Patty) of Kaukauna; Scott (Robin) of Appleton; Sue Van Handel of Litt le Chute and Pat (Cheryl) of Little Chute; 21 grandchildren: Pete (Heather ), Anne (Dan) Hafner, Charlie (Dani), Joy (Dan) DesJardins, Heidi Doroth y, Sam, Jay (Carrie), Brad (Jill), Trisha (Chris) Kang, Patrick, Rachel, D onny, Rebecca Dorothy, Philip and Luke Hietpas, Tyler, Ted and Anna Van Ha ndel; Katie, Matthew and Jacob Hietpas; ten great-grandchildren: Lauren, C arter, Reid, Bryce, Lily, Cole, Isaiah, Taylor, Katelyn, and Jack; her sis ter, Harriet (Gene) Brock, a brother, Tom (Maggie) Bootz; and sisters a nd brothers-in-law: Helen (Russ) Harmon, Joyce (Emmett) McMorrow, Sheila ( Clyde) Schepp, Claire (Lee) Van Boxtel, June Stuyvenberg, Margaret (Car l) Peeters, Lois Hietpas, John (Shirley), Luke (Molle), Mark (Linda), T om (Sheila), and Mike (Jo) Hietpas. She is further survived by her devot ed life long friend, Mary Lou Mueller, nieces, nephews, other relatives a nd friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by h er father and mother-in-law, John (Elizabeth) Hietpas; son-in-law, Chuck V an Handel, and brother-in-law, Claude Hietpas.
The family will receive friends after 1:30 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. Sunday, Au gust 20, 2006 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. The fu neral Mass will follow at 5 p.m. with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen presiding. Co mmittal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fu nd has been established in her name.

The family will receive friends after 1:30 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2006, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute. The funeral Mass will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Msgr. Jim Vanden Hogen presiding. Committal St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
