- Verhagen, Delaphi ne C. "Del"Delaphine C. "Del" nee Lom Verhagen, 93, Little Chute, died Friday, Jan. 2 7, 2006 at Parkside Care Center, Little Chute. She was born Nov. 25, 19 12 daughter of Peter and Anna (Hooyman) Lom. Delaphine married Walter J. V erhagen and he preceded her in death May 4, 1971. Mrs. Verhagen was a memb er of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and the St. Elizab eth Society. For the past 35 years Del was the cook for various cler gy at St. John Nepomucene, concluding with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hoge n. She enjoyed crocheting and making afghans, especially for the cler gy at her church. Del also enjoyed crossword puzzles and her family cotta ge at Lake Helen in Rosholt.Del is survived by her children, Jim (Myra) Verhagen, Lakewood; Grace (Car l) Fiestedt, Greenville; Eugene F. (Sandy) Verhagen, Kaukauna; Douglas Ver hagen, Appleton; son-in-law, Marcellus "Dumps" (Mary) Van Gompel, Keshen a; daughter-in-law, Fran Verhagen, Little Chute; 17 grandchildren; 23 gre at grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Lom, Appleton; two half brothers a nd one half sister; nieces, nephews and other relatives.She was also preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Anna Lom; her st ep mother, Nell Lom; daughter, June Van Gompel; sons, Joseph Verhagen a nd Walter Verhagen, Jr.; brothers, John, Wilbert, Edmund and Herbert Lo m; sisters, Mary Stephani and Natalie Versch; a half sister; brothers-in-l aw, Lewis, Nick and Peter Verhagen; sisters-in-law: Mayme De Coster, Marga ret Vanden Heuvel, Matilda Oudenhoven, Josephine Wyro and Dora Hooyman.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2006 at St. J ohn Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute with Revs. Richard Klingeis en and Patrick Beno officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, L ittle Chute. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. Monday until the t ime of the mass.
