- Steger, Harriet B., KimberlyAge 80, died peacefully Friday, November 21, 2003 with her family by her s ide. She was born April 13, 1923 in Little Chute, WI daughter of the la te John and Elizabeth (Servaes) Jansen. On February 14, 1942 Harriet marri ed Donald Steger in Appleton. The couple enjoyed 60 years of marriage toge ther prior to his death on January 2, 2003. Harriet loved cooking and baki ng for her family. She enjoyed babysitting for the grandchildren and gre at grandchildren.Survivors include her daughter and best friend, Kathy Steger, two sons a nd daughters-in-law; James (Gerri) Steger, Fred (Susie) Steger, five grand children; Sheila (Ross) VanHandel, Mickey ( Mechelle ) Steger, Ben (Beck y) Steger, Candi ( Matt) Teske and Amber Steger, six great grandchildre n, Frank, Claire, Lilli and Luke VanHandel, Mickey Steger, Ethan Steger, a nd a sister-in-law, Christine Hammen. She is further survived by her husba nd's family; Joe (Dar) Steger, Bob (Betty) Steger, Lorraine Heilman, Mari an Lambie, Betty Deeg and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, 12 brothers and sisters and thr ee brothers-in-law; Carl Heilman, Art Deeg and Stan Lambie.Funeral services will be held 6pm Tuesday at the Boettcher Family Funer al Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr. Gerald Falk officiating. E ntombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends m ay call at the funeral home from 4 pm Tuesday until the time of services.In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.A heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Winek, Sarah and Dean, the Doctors at Fox Val ley Nephrology and the wonderful nurses at Dialysis Care.
