Carl H. Sanders, age 69, of Combined Locks, formerly of Little Chute, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. He was born in Little Chute on May 15, 1938, to Loyld and Stella (Romenesko) Sanders. On June 28, 1960, Carl married Coreen Jansen at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Carl was a member of the National Guard and was employed with Appleton Papers for 43 years. Carl enjoyed fishing, playing cards, puzzles, woodworking and especially being his with family. He was a huge fan of baseball as well as the Green Bay Packers. Many will recall how he reminisced about the old days when he had his paper route. Carl was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish - St. Mary Site.
Carl is survived by his wife of 47 years, Coreen; his mother, Stella Sanders; four children: Ann (Joseph) Horn, Little Chute; Brian (Robin) Sanders, Combined Locks; Jon (Paula) Sanders, Little Chute; and Guy Sanders, Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Marie, Michael and Joey Horn, Leah, Katie, Madison, Jack and Noah Sanders; step grandchildren: Joshua (Melissa) Young and Breanna Kelly; step great-granddaughter: Victoria Young; sisters and brother: Jan (Ed) Stanley, Diane (Gerald) Wouters, Dotty (Gary) Reybrock and Donald (Linda) Sanders; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ron (Brenda) Jansen, Jerome (Ann) Jansen, Mary Gail Van De Hey and Jeff (Debbie) Jansen; close friends: Tom and Ann Jansen, Gene and Virgie Jansen, Jerry and Pauline De Groot and Paul and Sherry Van Grinsven; and Godchildren: Brenda Austin, Tim Reybrock, Joe Vosters and Kara Jansen. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Carl was preceded in death by his father Loyld Sanders, father-in-law Roy Jansen, a special aunt, Catherine Romenesko, along with many other family members.
Visitation will begin Thursday at 3 p.m. until time of Mass of Resurrection at 5 p.m. at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH - ST. MARY SITE (119 W. 7th St. Kaukauna). The Reverend Jerry Pastors will officiate.
