- Harriet Wilhelmina Conrad, age 97, of Freedom, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at St. Paul Elder Service. She was born to the late Willem and Drieka (Van Der Weist) Kemps on April 5, 1918. Harriet married William A. Conrad, Sr. on August 24, 1940. They spent 63 wonderful years together until his passing in 2003.
Mom was very active with her family and in her faith. She volunteered in various areas at St Nicholas Church and School. She was a member of Christian Mother's and a 50 plus year member with Catholic Financial Life as well. She cooked at the Starlight Supper club for many years. Harriet was a fabulous homemaker. Mom and Dad enjoyed many years at their cabin on Archibald Lake. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Harriet is survived by her children: Lyle (Connie), Bob, Don (Shirley), Roy (Betty), Carol (Mark) Farrell, Bill (Linda), and Randy (Peggy); son-in-law Denny Peters; grandchildren: David (Mary) Conrad, Sara (Jim) Sina, Cindy (Mark) Green, Kristy (Rich) Fox, Rick (Kris) Conrad, BobbiAnn (Paul) Bowsman, Brett (Jessi) Conrad, Tom (Tracy) Conrad, John (Deann) Conrad, Paul (Shana) Farrell, Amy (Mike)Krueger, Karen (Steve) Eiting, Mike (Andrea) Farrell, Dr. Mindy Farrell, Andy Farrell, Brian (Lori) Conrad, Kevin (Kathy) Conrad, Jason Conrad, Brian Peters, Tim Peters, Scott (Audra) Peters, Adam (Kelli) Peters, Brenda (Aaron) Porrey, Dawn (Barry) Van Groll, Amber Conrad, Emily (Joe) Nechodom, Brandon (Erin) Conrad, Amanda Conrad, and Britny (Andrew) Babler; Step grandchildren: Dawn Royse, Troy Royse, Ryan (Megan) Steinberg, and Jon Steinberg; 55 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill "The Barber"; her daughter Nancy Peters; and her siblings: Hank, Antonetta, Ted, Bernie, John, Adrian, Marty, Minnie, Marie, Sister Annette, and Dorothy; five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law.
Funeral Services for Harriet will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at SAINT NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, W2037 County Rd S, Freedom with Msgr. James Vanden Hogan officiating, Father Walter Stumpf concelebrating, and Deacon Mark Farrell assisting. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna; and again on the following day at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. We would also like to give a special thank you to our sister Carol and her husband Mark Farrell for their wonderful care of our mother for over 6 years in their home. A special thank you to Fr.
