- Lamers, Katherine "Kate" Little ChuteAge 88, died peacefully after a battle with Alzheimer's on Sunday, Octob er 6, 2002 at Oshkosh Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Ju ne 18, 1914, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Vander Velden) Evers. S he married Jack Lamers on July 30, 1935, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic C hurch, Little Chute, where she was a lifelong member. They enjoyed 60 yea rs of marriage together until he preceded her in death December 28, 199 5. Kate enjoyed bowling, golf and was an avid Packer fan and Chicago Cub f an. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.Katherine is survived by her four children: Janice (Ronald) Hietpas, Litt le Chute; Tom (Debby) Lamers, Little Chute; Jay (Kay) Lamers, Crandon,; Li nda (Doug) Hammen, Oshkosh; 16 grandchildren: Keith (Cindy), Mike (Michell e) and Greg Hietpas; Jackie (Rob) Franck, Sara (Paul) Pederson, Beth Tourv ille, Jill Damrow, Lisa McRae, Scott (Chris) Lamers, Jenny (Mike) VanGrins ven, Trisha (Craig) Quick, Holly Lamers, Shelly (Chris) Petz, Judd Hamm en and special friend, Tanya Buege, Carrie (Jeremy) Phillips, Jason Hamm en and fiancee Keri Berg; 26 great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law: Dor is Vanden Heuvel and Dorothy Lamers; two sisters: Alice (John) Grissmen a nd Betty Hansen; two step-brothers: Joseph (Betty) Biersteker and John (Ge ri) Biersteker, many nieces, nephews and friends.Katherine was preceded in death by an infant son, James; her father-in-l aw and mother-in-law: Martin and Janet Lamers; two half sisters: Minnie (T ed) Lamers and Martina (John) Evers; two half brothers: Peter (Ann) Eve rs and Mike (Florence) Evers; three step brothers: Nick (Jane), Maurice a nd Neal Biersteker; four brothers-in-law: Bob (Margaret), Mark (Audrey) a nd Tom Lamers, Dick Vanden Heuvel.Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2002 at St. John Nep omucene Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. En tombment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
