- Yvonne Locy, age 76, of New London, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2007, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Appleton. Yvonne was born on March 13, 1931, in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Arthur and Evangeline (Windisch) Jansen. She graduated from Kimberly High School and attended UW-Oshkosh. On September 24, 1952, Yvonne was united in marriage to John Locy. He preceded her in death in 1992. She and her husband owned and operated John's Bar in New London from 1977 to 1990. Yvonne enjoyed going to her cottage at Cat Fish Lake in Eagle River. She was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London.
Yvonne is survived by seven daughters and son-in-laws: Jackie (Jack) Benotch, Appleton; Vickie (Cal) Handschke, New London; Kathleen (John) Mares, New London; Dorine (Steve) Rodgers, New London; Sandra (Rick) Whitman, Appleton; Lori (Brian) Campbell, Neenah; Lisa (Dave) Linberg, New London; four sons and daughter-in-laws: Steve (Jane) Locy, Eagle River; Mark (Kim) Locy, New London; John Jr. (Kelly) Locy, New London; Paul (Robin) Locy, New London. Grandchildren: Lee Meyer Jr., Jessica Benotch, Jodi and Brian Strube, Nicki and Beau Handschke, Teasha (Kasey) Kaepernick; Toni Rodgers, Tanya Rodgers (fiance Paul Hintzke), Michael and Jessica Locy, Nicholas (Rachel) Locy, Mark Locy Jr., Nicole, Paige and Parker Campbell, Samantha and Tiffany Linberg, Logan and Garret Locy, Samantha Locy. Four great-grandchildren: Treston Kaepernick, Tannyr and Ethan Locy and Zander Locy. Sisters and brothers: Joan Gebert, Gerry (Pete) Demerath and Greg (Phyllis) Jansen. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ruth Locy, Wayne (Pat) Locy, Jim (Betty) Locy, Gerald (Mary Ellen) Locy, Tom (Deb) Locy, Harold Bissing, Mary Gloudemans, Alice (Bob) Weyers.
Besides her parents and husband Yvonne is preceded in death by a grandson Trent Magolski, her mother and father-in-law Henry and Geraldine Locy, brothers-in-law Dave Locy, Don Locy, Roger Gloudemans, Gene Driessen and Dick Gebert, sisters-in-law Dorothy Bissing, Delores Driessen and Flossie Locy.
Funeral services for Yvonne will be held on Friday, December 28, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London (due to renovation at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church), Fr. David Lewis officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
