  Florence D. Boyea, 84, De Pere, went to eternal rest on Thursday, June 9, 2005. Florence was born to the late Frank and Lena (Albers) Coenen on Aug. 16, 1920, and live in the De Pere area her entire life. She married the late Steven (Sam) Boyea on June 27, 1946, at St. Boniface Church in De Pere. He preceded her in death Feb. 12, 1988. Sam and Florence farmed in the Town of Lawrence from 1946 to 1956. They then moved into the City of De Pere close to V.F.W. Park. Florence worked at West De Pere High School in the Custodial Department for 25 years. Her interests included attending daily Mass at Old St. Joseph Church, gardening, playing softball and volleyball years ago and bowling. Florence bowled in her league two days before her illness. Florence was very active in volunteer work, including refunding at St. Boniface Church and working for funeral dinners at St. Boniface and Our Lady of Lourdes Church for many years. Survivors include her two sons, David and his special friend, Janice Loehlein and Steve and Julie Boyea and their two children, Brian and Kelsey; Florence's daughter, Barbara (James) Heuvelmans and her son, Tom O'Connell Jr. Florence is also survived by one great-grandson, Ryan O'Connell. Other survivors include brothers, Louie (Millie) Coenen, Herb (Beattie) Coenen, Francis (Fritz) Coenen and Clarence Coenen; sisters include Helen (Norb) Achten and Rosemary (Joe) Bartels; and one brother-in-law, Gerald Bloemer.
