- John J. "Jack" Appleton, N5295 Vine Road, Sey mourAge 85, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, January 2, 2001, at St. Vince nt Hospital, Green Bay. He was born October 5, 1915, in Osborn Township, s on of the late John E. and Sybella (Muench) Appleton. On October 7, 195 0, he was united in marriage to Wanda Kusniesz in Appleton. Jack farm ed in Osborn Township his entire life. He had been president of the Outaga mie Holstein Association and was a delegate for Midwest Breeders. He w as an active member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. He was a mem ber of the Knights of Columbus Council 8061 of Freedom and a member of t he 4th Degree. Jack was also a volunteer fireman for Osborn Township.He is survived by his wife, Wanda; his children, Julane (Ken) Smith, Seymo ur; Jeanne Appleton (Pat Martin), Janesville; Jacklyn (Ralph) Jardine, Ont ario, Canada; Wayne (Lisa) Appleton, Kimberly; five grandchildren, Adam, J oseph, and Daniel Smith; Amanda and Alicia Appleton; a brother, Gene (Jun e) Appleton, Darboy; two sisters, Irene Weiland, Kaukauna; Evelyn Blunc k, Green Bay; a sister-in-law, Betty Appleton, Kimberly. He was preced ed in death by a sister and two brothers.Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, Thursday from 4 -9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. and Friday at St. Nicholas Cathol ic Church, Freedom, from 11 a.m. until services at noon with Fr. Dennis Ry an and Fr. Leander Nichols officiating.
