  See Image John H. Van Asten, 119 W. Main St. Little Chute Age 71, passed away Tuesday at 8:40 at his home after a short illness. He was born April 4, 1897 in Town of Vanden Broeck. He farmed at Route 1, Kaukauna until his retirement in 1958 and was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute, The Holy Name Society, The Catholic Order of Foresters Court # 450, an army veteran of World War I and a member of the executive board of the American Legion Post 258, a past president of Little Chute Golden Agers, an associate of Mutual Service Life and Casualty Insurance for 20 years. He had an agency for Hartland Cicero Mutual Insurance Company of Seymour, Calumet Mutual Insurance Company of New Holstein. Survivors include his wife, Martha; 5 daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Grace) Waller and Mrs. Ronald (Marcia) Siebers, both of Appleton; Sister Cyril Marie (Dorothy), Merrill; Mrs. LeRoy (Betty) Bast, Kimberly; Mrs. Peter (Joyce) Mischler, Kaukauna; 7 sons, Ivo, San Pablo, California; Donald, Stockbridge; Gerald A. and LeRoy, Kaukauna; James, Appleton; John E., Kimberly; Kenneth, Jacksonville, Florida; 4 brothers, Henry, Arnold and Martin, Little Chute; Albert, Lancaster, California; 1 sister, Mrs. John (Hattie) Schmidt, Kaukauna and 51 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute. Interment in the parish cemetery, where military services will be held. Friends may call after 2 o'clock Thursday at Verkuilen Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 8 o'clock Thursday APC WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 2, 1968 PAGE D-6
