  Joyce M. Hoier, age 71, of Green Bay, formerly of Hortonville, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born on July 6, 1937, in the Township of Ellington (Outagamie County), daughter of the late George & Geneve (Pokalski) McKeever. Joyce worked at the Larsen Company in Hortonville for over 30 years until its closing in 2001. She enjoyed watching Packer games, making quilts, bowling and golfing. Since retiring her favorite hobby was playing bingo. Survivors include her longtime friend and companion, Bill Lockstein. One daughter, Julie (John) Szablewski, Hortonville. Two sons, Jack Hoier, New London and Gary Hoier, Shiocton. Her former husband, Eugene Hoier, Menasha. One brother, Richard (Christine) McKeever, Hortonville. Two sisters, Beverly McKeever, New Jersey, Anita VandenWildenberg, Ripon. Nine grandchildren: Kurt Hoier, Stephan (Tracy) Hoier, Brian Hoier, Tony Hoier, Jamie Hoier, Brandon Hoier, Sean Szablewski, Chad Szablewski, Chelsea Szablewski. Four great grandchildren: Matthew Hermes, Abigail Hoier, Joshua Hoier, Ian Vanderlois. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael, a granddaughter, Kimberly Hoier, and three brothers, Raymond, Ronald & Dennis McKeever. One sister, Dorothy Olson. The Funeral Mass for Joyce will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2008, at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville with Fr. James Feely officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home 109 W.
