- Bernice Ann Van Handel, N1940 County Rd. N, Appleton Age 73, died Thursday, August 3, 2000, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Apple ton. She was born April 19, 1927 in Wrightstown, daughter of Henry a nd Nellie (Kerkhoff) Vande Hey. Bernice married Arthur W. Van Handel Ju ne 14, 1949 in Wrightstown. She was a member of Saint John's Catholic Chur ch, Little Chute.Bernice is survived by her husband, Arthur; their children: Diane (Gary) F eller, Appleton; Lloyd (Debbie) Van Handel, Freedom; Ruby (Paul) Van Grol l, Greg (Jean) Van Handel, both of Appleton; Nancy (Mike) Foshee, New Hols tein; Lisa (Jerry) Wildenberg, Freedom; Amy (John) Wudtke, Bonduel; 26 gra ndchildren; two step grandchildren; one great granddaughter; seven brother s: Gordon Vande Hey, Menasha; Roland (Rita), Wrightstown; Mark (Florence ), Menasha; Orville, De Pere; Gerald (Jean), Denmark; Hilary (Bev) and Vir gil (Sandy), both of Wrightstown; one sister, Mary (Leonard) Sprangers, Fr eedom; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Loretta Sanderfoot, Wrightstown ; Agnes (Al) Smudde, Freedom; Irene (George) Stoffel, Appleton; Ursula (C larence) Vanden Heuvel, Little Chute; Audrey (Fabian) Van Camp, De Pere; J anet Van Handel, Kaukauna; Bill (Lorna) Van Handel, Darboy; Richard (Grac e) Van Handel, Kaukauna; Erv (Ruth) Van Handel, Glendale. She was preced ed in death by her parents; six brothers and five sisters-in-law: Howard ( Johanna) Vande Hey, Myron (Murilla) Vande Hey, Ralph, Clayton, Alois and E ugene Vande Hey; Margaret, Pat, and Janet Vande Hey; two sisters and thr ee brothers-in-law: Vivian (Ray) Eisman, Marileen (Leroy) Greisbach, Lawre nce Sprangers; one granddaughter, Becky Jo Wildenberg; brothers-in-law a nd sisters-in-law: Matt (Marion) Van Handel, Urban Micke, Catherine (Jerom e) Van Lanen, Reuben Van Lanen, Marie (Butch) Dombrowski, Bonnie Van Hande l. Funeral services will be held at 3PM Monday, August 7, 2000 at Saint J ohn's Church, Little Chute with Father Jim Vanden Hogen officiating. Inter ment will be in Saint John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at t he church from 11AM Monday until the time of the Mass. A memorial has be en established.
