- Nathan Bergholz, 77, Grand Chute, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 28, 2010, with his family by his side. He was born March 6, 1933, in Appleton, son of Joseph and Minnie (Marcks) Bergholz. Nathan married Marlyn A. Ausloos October 5, 1957, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton. Nathan was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton. He was employed at Catholic Knights Insurance until his retirement. Nathan enjoyed hunting and playing cards.
Nathan is survived by his wife, Marlyn; his children: Todd Bergholz, Appleton and his special friend, Leah Schimmer; Faye Bergholz, Green Bay; Bonnie (Brian) Atkinson, Sussex; Becky Goland, Darboy and her special friend, Kyle Roble; nine grandchildren: Dustin, Joe, Maxwell, Nathaniel, Maria, Isabella, Lily, Tanner, Lakin; a great-granddaughter, Brei; a sister, Suzanne (Jerry) Behnke, Appleton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and other relatives and friends.
Nathan was preceded in death by his son, Jay; his parents; a sister, Verla (Hank) Liebzit; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 500 W. Marquette St., Appleton with Fr. Tom Farrell officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
