- Elaine A. Laux, 87, Appleton, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011. She was born on August 4, 1923, in Bear Creek, the daughter of William and Agnes (Fenton) Bessette. On February 13, 1947, Elaine married Richard Laux at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall. Elaine enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking, making jewelry and caring for others.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne (Beverly) Laux, Marion; and Robert (Kathleen) Laux, New London; daughter-in-law, Janine Laux, Leopolis; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Bessette, Sheboygan; and Arthur Bessette, Clintonville; and sister, Agnes Bessette, Hot Springs, Ark.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Laux; and son, Bruce Laux.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at ST. ROSE CATHOLIC CHURCH, CLINTONVILLE. The family will receive visitors from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service. In addition, a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the New London Kingdom Hall.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
