- Betty Jane Glaser, 91 of Appleton, passed away peacefully Friday June 27, 2014 with her family by her side. She was born June 23, 1923 in the Town of Harrison, daughter of the late Fred and Laura (Fiedler) Gall. Betty married Stanley Glaser on July 23, 1955. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1982.
Betty worked for many years as a bartender at "Pete's Junction" in Appleton. In their younger years, Betty and Stanley enjoyed traveling. Betty loved to work on needle point, playing sheepshead, and cribbage; she already knew what you had in your hand, the minute you laid your first card.
Betty is survived by three granddaughters, Wendy (Jeff) McFaul, Combined Locks, Brenda Huss, Darboy, and Sherri Henschel (Tim Banker), Seymour; two grandsons, Travis Huss, Kaukauna, and Jeffrey Huss, Kaukauna; and seven great-grandchildren, Alan, Trevor, Kelsi, Lucy, Geoffrey, Cody, and Carley. She was further preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene "Dar" Huss; and a grandson, Brian Scott "Pie-Wee" Huss.
Funeral service for Betty will be 6:00 PM on Tuesday July 1, 2014 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Paul Schuler officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 4:00 PM until the hour of service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
Betty's family would like to thank the entire staff at Care Partners, Little Chute, especially Rhonda, for their care and compassion.
