  Anne Christine Vanden Heuvel, 604 Van Buren S treet, Little ChuteAge 66, went home to Jesus on Sunday, August 5, 2001, surrounded by her fa mily. She was born April 26, 1935, in Little Chute, daughter of Peter a nd Elizabeth (Lom) Verhagen. Anne married Kenneth J. Vanden Heuvel, Janua ry 25, 1956, at Saint John Church. She was a volunteer at the Fox Cities H omeless Shelter and a member of the St. Elizabeth Society. She enjoyed cra fting, painting, pontooning at her cottage on Legend Lake, gardening, read ing, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. Anne was a caring, c ompassionate nurse, serving the community until her retirement last year.Anne is survived by her husband, Ken; three daughters, Lori (James) Hietpa s, Little Chute; Beth (Ron) Benzschawel, Greenleaf; Katy (Mark) Gloudeman s, Little Chute; three sons, Peter (Ann) Vanden Heuvel and Patrick (Sherr y) Vanden Heuvel, both of Little Chute; Mark (Clare) Vanden Heuvel, Oshkos h; 16 grandchildren, Kara, Kristin and Kevin Hietpas; Steve Benzschawel; R yan, Alex and Brynn Gloudemans; Adam, Kelly, Samuel, Amos, Luke, Olivia a nd Grace Anne Vanden Heuvel; Emily and Josh Liebzeit; a brother, Tom (Ja n) Verhagen; two sisters, Jane (Joe) Janssen and Betty (Ken) Schnese; brot hers-in-law: Lloyd (Jane), Clarence (Urs), Gene, Paul (Laverne) Vanden Heu vel; four sisters-in-law, Dolores (Mike) Machurick, Donna (Bob) Welch, Ba rb (Mike) Kons and Noreen Vanden Heuvel; seven Godchildren; many nieces, n ephews and special friends.Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her mother and father-in-la w; a grandchild, Isaac Vanden Heuvel; a brother, Peter Verhagen; a siste r, Barbara Verhagen; and a brother-in-law, Jerome Vanden Heuvel.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2001, at Sai nt John Catholic Church, Little Chute, with the Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Ho gen officiating. Interment will be in Saint John Cemetery. Friends may ca ll at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A special tha nk you to the staff at Saint Elizabeth Hospital. In lieu of flowers, a mem orial has been established.We love you more!
