- John O'Keefe, pioneer resident of Appleton, 8O years old. died this morning at the home of his son, John A. O'Keefe, River Forest, III., after an illness of about two weeks. Death was caused by general debility. The decedent was born In Charleyvllle, Ireland, but moved to London with his parents when one year old. He lived in the British capital for 1? years and then came to America. Mr. O'Keefe had lived in Appleton since 1865. He served three years and six months in the Civil war. Mr. O'Keefe is survived by three M as, Thomas L.. Wadena. Minn.; John A.. River Forest.Ill., and Dr. William E., Appleton; two brothers. Thomas and Edward, Appleton; three sisters, Miss Margaret O'Keefe, Appleton; Mrs. Maurice Boland. Ap- pleton. and Mrs. Katharine O'Connell, Salt Lake City, Utah. His body will arrive in Appleton tomorrow afternoon and will be taken to the home of Edward O'Koefe. 1073 Prospect street. Funeral services will be held at ten o'clock Saturday morning at St. Mary church. The decedent was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic; Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and the Holy Name Society.
