  Robert William "Slug" DeGoey, 77, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011, after a long and hard-fought illness. He was born April 10, 1934, to William and Margaret (nee Wurl) DeGoey. Slug married Janice Wydeven on Sept. 1, 1957. Robert worked for U.S. Oil (Venture) for 38 years. He served in the Navy from 1952 to 1955. After retiring, Bob and Janice moved to Lake Tomahawk so he could enjoy his passions of musky fishing and quiet living. Slug is survived by his wife, Janice, Lake Tomahawk; sons, Robert Jr., Scot (Donna) and Jerry, all of Kaukauna; one daughter, Kathy (Pat) Kinsey, Woodstock, Ga.; five granddaughters and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by three brothers, John (Flossy), Combined Locks; Ken (Sandy), Silvercliff; Don (Geraldine), Kimberly; and sister, Lori (Don) Phillips, Combined Locks. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, at 11 a.m. at Bolger Funeral Home-Woodruff Chapel with a gathering from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
