A Mass of Christian Burial wi ll be Monday, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Wilto n. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invit ed to call at Smith-Nelson Funeral Home, 702 Center St., Wilton, Sunday fr om 4 to 8 p.m. and at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of t he service. Walter J. Leis;WILTON, Wis. - Walter J. Leis, 75, of Wilton died May 29, 2003, at t he VA Medical Center, Tomah, Wis. He was born Nov. 22, 1927, to John Ant on "Tony" and Anna (Marx) Leis at Cashton, Wis. He was united in marria ge to Margaret Krajco Nov. 10, 1952, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Hill sboro, Wis. She preceded him in death June 15, 1994. He farmed in the Town ship of Wilton until his retirement. Walter was a U.S. Army Korean War vet eran. He was a member of the Hanson-Stark-Leith-Paeth American Legion Po st 508 at Wilton for 40 years. He was a lifetime member of St. John the Ba ptist Catholic Church.He is survived by two daughters, Karen (Edward) Johanek of Appleton, Wi s. and Catherine (William) Welch of Onalaska, Wis.; three sons, Allan (Bar bara) of Warrens, Wis., Randall of Racine, Wis., and Gerard (Dawn) of Wilt on; nine grandchildren, Joseph and Anna Johanek, Will C. Welch, Daniell e, Adam, Brandon, Kimberly, Kayla and Michael Leis; seven brothers and sis ters, Herbert (Virginia), Marie (Glen) Whitehead, Paul (Donna), Rose Ann ( John) Hundt, all of Cashton, LeRoy of La Crosse, James (Rosie) of Milwauke e, Kenneth (Lillian) of Madison; many nieces, nephews, other relatives a nd friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret; a sister, Ele anora; and two sisters-in-law, Joyce and Adeline.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 2, 11 a.m. at S t.
