  Mrs. Charles (Mabel) Schweitzer Rt. 2, New London Age 77, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday. She was born September 15, 1897 in the Township of Deer Creek. The former Mabel Raeder was married to Charles Schweitzer on August 26, 1920 and they would have celebrated their 55th wedding aniversary in August of this year. She had lived in Deer Creek area most of her life and 20 years in Shawano County where they farmed. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Maple Creek. Survivors include her husband, Charles; two sons, Harold and Franklin both of Rt. 2, New London; four daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Lucille) Strauss of Shawano, Mrs. James (Jeanette) Oashger of Appleton, Mrs. Leroy (Ruth) Peterson, and Mrs. Harlow (Ellen) Reinert both of New London; a brother, William Raeder of Shawano; 21 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Maple Creek with the Rev.Nathan Engel officiating. Interment will be in the New maple Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline and Hanson Funeral Home in New London after 2 p.m. Friday until 10:30 a.m. Saturday and then at the church until the hour of service.
