  Eley, Lois Thein (1923-2015) Lois passed away on October 10, 2015 at her home overlooking Lake Tahoe. She was born in 1923 in Kimberly, WI. Lois was a WW2 Veteran of the US Navy. She taught at Eureka High School and Merced Junior College. In her younger years she loved to play tennis, hunt and fish. She also loved to watch the Cubs. She was preceded in death by her husbands Ralph Kauffman and James S. Eley, Her parents Louis "Butch" & Irene Thein. Six siblings, Josephine (Louie) Voster, Marge (Henry) Wiegand, Bernadine "Birdie" (Norman) Bauhs, Edward (Ruth) Thein, Luella "Honey" (Cliff) Marron, and Richard (Dian) Thein. Lois is survived by her son Robert (Jeanne) Kauffman, Grand-son Sam, Brother Louie "Bud" (Mary) Thein and numerous nieces and nephews. Per her request there will be no service.
