| Biography |
- Fritz enlisted in October 1951 and made a career in the Air Force. He a nd Betty lived in Fort Worth, TX and then in Altus, OK. He was al so in a band. He was very musical just like his father. He sang and play ed the guitar.
Loretta and Fritz's first wife, Betty, were sisters. While Loretta was pr egnant with Freddie, they were traveling in a car with a faulty exhaust sy stem. Both were overcome with carbon monoxide. The pregnancy was affect ed and Freddie was born too early. He was severely handicapped from bir th and now lives in an institution suitable for his condition. Fritz had c ancer of the esophagus Suffered for about a year.

- Luke AFB Phoenix, ARPfc. Frederick A. Mantzke has recently arrived at Luke Air Force Base to a ssume duties with the 127th Pilot Training Wing of the Air Training comman d. He enlisted in the US Air Force in October 1951 and received his bas ic training at Lackland AFB, Texas. Upon completion of basic he was assig ned to this base for further training. - Frederick Anton Mantzke, 56, died Saturday at Altus Air Force Base Hospita l. Graveside services and burial with full military honors will be Tuesda y, 10 AM at Altus Cemetery with the Father John Lunongo, base chaplain, of ficiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.He was born November 11, 1931. He married Loretta Jane George in Alt us on June 6, 1972. He retired from the Air Force after serving 20 year s. He was a self-employed mechanic in civilian life. He was a member of t he Veterans of Foreign Wars.Survivors include his wife, Loretta, of the home: eight daughters, Debra H ernandez and Delia Rice, both of Arizona, Lynda Posthumas, St. Paul, Minne sota, Loretta Davies, Norman, OK, Nona Englett, Joan Dotson and Kimberly B each all of Altus and Tammy Wilson of Iceland. Four sons, William Mantzk e, Tacoma, WA, Donald Englett, Oklahoma City, Gerald Englett, Norman and F redrick Mantzke, Jr, Pauls Valley, OK; one sister, Lois Huber, Janesvill e, WI, three brothers, William Mantzke, Headrick, Gene Mantzke, Fort Wort h, TX, and Richard Mantzke, Lawton, 27 grandchildren and one great grandch ild.
