- Beth, Milton H.Milton H. Beth, 90, West Bend, died Monday, Oct. 15. 2001, at the Cedar La ke Health Care Center in West Bend. He was born Dec. 31, 1910, in De Per e, Wis., to the late Adam and Sophia (nee Benz) and married Martha E. Blin dauer on Nov. 4, 1937, in Green Bay. Martha preceded Milton in death on Ju ne 17, 2001. Decades ago he sang with the Y.M.C.A. Glee Club, even traveli ng to Chicago to perform at the Palmer House with the band of Ozzie Nels on and Harriet Hillard. That was before Ozzie and Harriet married and beca me television stars. During the 1940's he sang with the West Bend Barbersh op Quartet and Chorus while his wife, Martha sang with the Sweet Adeline' s. In his latter years he sang with the West Bend Senior Center Chorus. Mi lton worked for many years in retail, retiring from Jim Handy Hardware.Survivors include three children, Richard (Jeanne), Oconomowoc; Micky (Bon nie), St. Germaine, Wis.; and Ruth Ann (Thomas) Classey, West Bend; nine g randchildren, Tim (Laurie) Beth, Tom (Debbie) Beth, Vicki (Dean) Larson, R andy (Wendy) Beth, John (Karrie) Beth, Steven (Sara) Beth, Gregg (Barb) Cl assey, Glenn Classey and Gary (Tammy) Classey; and 14 great-grandchildre n. Milton is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Hammes and G en Strutz, both of Green Bay; nieces, nephews and other relatives and frie nds.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.Memorial Services will be held Friday, Oct. 19, 2001, at 11 a.m. at the Sc hmidt Funeral Home in West Bend, with the Rev. Michael Petersen of St. Fra nces Cabrini Church officiating. Inurnment will follow in Washington Coun ty Memorial Park. The family will greet relatives and friends on Frida y, at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the services.Milton's family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of t he Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
