  Florian Chambers, 88, Mill Center, passed away at her home on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008. Florian was born on July 1, 1920, in Lawrence, Wis., to the late Peter and Emma (Bougie) McCabe. She married Jack Chambers on June 15, 1954, at St. Joseph's Church, De Pere, Wis. Florian taught for 39 years as an elementary teacher and prior to her retirement was a reading specialist. She was a member of the Catholic Order Foresters of St. Benedict's, Suamico, Retired Teacher's Association and Christian Mothers. Florian traveled extensively during her retirement. Florian is survived by her husband, Jack; children, Keith (Lynn) Chambers, Kevin (MeriLou) Chambers, Lynn Zanitsch, Mark Chambers and Paul (Denise) Chambers; her grandchildren, Rachael, Emma, Aileen, Jacqueline Chambers, Heather (DJ) Miskulin, Ryan (Alyssa) Chambers, Sara, Brendan Zanitsch and Zachary, Jocelyn Chambers; great-grandchildren, Owen Chambers and Morgan Miskulin; brothers and sisters, Vincent (Pat) McCabe, Mary (Ivo) Geurts, Audrey (Harold) Deprez, Patricia O'Keefe, Maureen (Vernon) Weyers, Beulah Gurnee. She is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Schaeffer, Catherine Flynn, Pat (Donna) Chambers; Ronald White, Jenny Chambers. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Victor Coffey; grandson, Shawn Chambers; sister, Eileen McCabe; brother, David McCabe; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. A celebration of Florian's life with a visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, 2008, from 9 to 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Howard. Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m. Monday at the church with the Rev. John Bergstadt officiating.
