  Evers, Harold B. "Barney" Little ChuteAge 71, died Wednesday, January 15, 2003 at his home with his family by h is side. Harold was born July 22, 1931 in Little Chute; son of the late Jo seph and Josephine (Hietpas) Evers. He married Martha Wyngaard, February 1 3, 1954 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute where he w as a lifetime member. Harold was in the Army, serving his country in the K orean War. Harold was employed at International Paper until his retireme nt in 1993 and belonged to the quarter century club. He was a member of t he Little Chute American Legion, Post 258 and the Knights of Columbu s. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family at the co ttage in Mountain and the cottage in Argonne.Harold is survived by his wife, Martha; five children: Debra (Darshan) Dha liwal, Mequon; Julie (Christopher) Coonen, Kaukauna; Dave (Nancy) Evers, K imberly; Joe (Becky) Evers, Little Chute; Jeff (Lori) Evers, Little Chut e; 17 grandchildren: Jesse (Sophia), Gary, Tina, Ron, Amy and Cindy Dhaliw al; Ben, Jenny, Nick, Sarah, Kelly, Scott, Abby, Heather and Cody Evers; K ayla and Matthew Coonen; six brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Richard ( Marilyn), Robert (Florence) and Theo Wyngaard; Dorothy Grapentin; Marie Schiedermayer; Ruth Huss; many nieces, nephews and friends. Harold was prece ded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Gertrude Wy ngaard; a sister, Barbara (Donald) Sachs; three brothers-in-law: Richard G rapentin, Frank Schiedermayer, Anthony Wyngaard; a nephew, Mike Sachs.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2003 at S t. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen offi ciating. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Little Chute Americ an Legion, Post 258, following the mass. Interment will be in St. John Cem etery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 -8 p.m. Friday and at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of t he mass. The Little Chute Volunteer Fire Department will be honoring Haro ld at 7 p.m. Friday followed by a Little Chute American Legion, Post 258 s ervice.The family would like to thank Theda Care, especially Kathy Horn, for the ir care and compassion for Harold.
