- Drucilla Bay, (Mrs. Floyd Bay) age 87, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at St. Paul Elder Services. At her request, no visitation or memorial services will be held. A complete obituary will appear in the Post Crescent at a later date.

Bay, Drucilla "Trudy"Drucilla "Trudy" Bay passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2006, after a short illness at St. Paul Elder Care Facility, Kaukauna. She was born on March 9, 1919, to the late Ed and Martha Risse. Like those of her generation, our mother faced tremendous challenges early in life. Throughout those times, she displayed an irrepressible energy and positive attitude that would serve her well throughout life. It is not surprising that she met our father, Floyd, and his two left feet at the Rainbow Gardens, for she loved to dance and sing an occasional tune.
She is survived by sons: Buck (Bruce) and wife Jackie, St. Louis, MO; Dan and wife Deborah, San Rafael, CA; Scott (Michael), Minneapolis, MN; Tom, Kaukauna; and daughter Debra and her husband Wayne Nighorn, Pulaski, WI; sister, Lucille, De Pere; and a sister-in-law, Ellie Bay, Asuncion, Paraguay. Additionally, 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews survive her.
Besides her parents, husband Floyd and brother Harold preceded her in death.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the floor staff at the St. Paul Elder Services, a truly outstanding organization, for their kind and compassionate treatment during our mother's brief stay. We wish to gratefully acknowledge Dr. Danz, Kaukauna Medical Clinic, and Dr. Aristiqueta, Fox Valley Pulmonary Medicine and their staffs. Their compassion for our mother was simply amazing. Heartfelt thanks goes to other special folks, Joyce and Robin for the hickory nuts, baked goods and homemade soups and dishes that she enjoyed. To all the fine people at Kaukauna Cheese for the charity lunches that provided meals for her. To Karen, Betty, Stub, Dan and Ann, and Billy for all their help over the years. To the Lill family who adopted her as theirs, sharing their lives with her. She was extremely fond of the visits, cards, and letters that she constantly received as well as the many treats.
A special thanks to Kathy who every day made sure our mother was comfortable and well provided. A very special thanks to Nancy, who over the years, provided care in a very kind, thoughtful manner. She was always there for our mother and, most importantly, developed a relationship which evolved into a very close friendship that she cherished.
Our mother came into this life as a humble person, and it was her desire to leave as a humble person. To those who knew her, she was truly a gracious person, who never put herself first. We all admired her for her unselfishness.
As were her wishes, there will be no funeral. However, the family extends an invitation to the friends of our mother and of the family to attend a memorial gathering at Van Abel's of Hollandtown to celebrate her life on Saturday, May 12, at 11 a.m. This day is most fitting as it falls on Mother's Day weekend honoring her legacy as a loving, caring and outstanding mother.
