  Little ChuteAge 66, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 29, 2001 at Theda Clark Medic al Center. He was born March 23, 1935 in Little Chute, son of Theodore Ant one and Mary (Fleischman) Verkuilen. Ted married Rosemary Van Der Horst Se ptember 9, 1958 in Kaukauna. He was a lifelong resident of Little Chute a nd worked with his father at the Verkuilen Funeral Home and Furniture Stor e, Little Chute, for many years before owning and operating them with h is wife Rosemary. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Little Chut e; the Knights of Columbus, Little Chute Council; the National, Wiscons in and Fox River Valley Funeral Directors Associations and the Little Chu te Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years, retiring as assistant fire chie f. He was a former member of the Little Chute Businessmen's Association. T ed especially enjoyed spending time with his family, deer hunting, enjoyi ng their cottage at Legend Lake and playing cribbage. Ted is survived by his wife, Rosemary; two daughters and sons-in-law, Li sa (Jeff) Sheffler, Appleton; Pauline (Cory) Allen, Kimberly; one son a nd daughter-in-law, Jeffrey (Karen) Verkuilen, Howard; six grandchildre n: John and Katherine Verkuilen, Michael Sheffler, Justin, Grady and Abiga il Allen; two brothers: Richard (Linda) Verkuilen, Kimberly; Michael (Li l) Verkuilen, Kaukauna; two sisters: Janice Jansen, Little Chute; Mary Be th Belanger, Kaukauna; three brothers-in-law: Rev. John Van Der Horst, Gre en Bay; Melvin Seif and Jerome (Dorothy) Nettekoven, both of Kaukauna; o ne sister-in-law, Louise Van Der Horst, Kaukauna. He was preceded in dea th by his parents; one daughter, Kathleen Verkuilen, and one sister, Marga ret Ann Verkuilen; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Funeral servic es will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2002, at St. John Chur ch with Rev. Msgr. James Vanden Hogen and Rev. John Van Der Horst officiat ing. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may ca ll at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the chur ch from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the mass. A memorial has be en established.
