- See Image Robert J. OudenhovenRobert J. Oudenhoven, 78, N5252 County Road E, De Pere, died early Saturd ay morning, December 16, 2000, at his home. He was born August 31, 192 2, in Little Chute, son of the late Henry and Anna (Verstegen) Oudenhove n. On September 2, 1948, he was united in marriage to Ruth Gerritts at S t. Nicholas Catholic Church, Freedom. Bob was a World War II Army vetera n, serving in the 252nd Ordinance Company from 1941 to 1945. He was a memb er of the Freedom VFW. Bob farmed most of his life in Oneida Township a nd was one of the first Outstanding Young Farmers of Outagamie County. B ob was also a former Freedom School Board member. He attended Immaculate C onception Grade School and graduated from West De Pere High School. He w as a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Van's Valley, whe re he served on several committees. He was a former member of the Knigh ts of Columbus. Robert enjoyed snowmobiling, was a member of the Freedom T railblazers Snowmobile Club, and a former member of the Freedom Gun Clu b. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing dominoes.He is survived by his wife, Ruth; his children, Robert Jr. (Diane), Kaukau na; Dale (Bev), Sandy (Bill) Calaway, Becky (Dan) Baneck, Larry (Joan), Li sa (Chad) Kortz, and Chris, all of Freedom; Duane (Becky), De Pere; Kat hy (Tim) Hietpas, Little Chute; grandchildren, Amy, Brian, Eric, Anna, Ste phanie, Keith, Kevin, Steven, Janell, and Michael Oudenhoven; Bill, Kell y, and Jesse Calaway; Michelle and Kyle Baneck; Alex and Alyssa Hietpas; o ne sister, Patricia Lambie, Kaukauna; a sister-in-law, Josephine Oudenhove n, Oneida; a half-sister-in-law, Angie Williamson, Appleton.He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy; a grandson, Daniel; three b rothers, Herbert, Alois, and Paul; a half-brother, Henry Williamson; a nd a half-sister, Margarite Vandenberg.Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, from 4 to 8 p. m. Monday, with a military service by the Freedom VFW at 6:45 p.m. and a p rayer service at 7 p.m., and Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Chu rch, Van's Valley, from 9:30 a.m. until services at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Ri chard Thomas officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Military Rit es to follow at the cemetery.Dad, you were a strong, proud man who believed strongly in your Christi an values and was proud of serving your country. You had a love for the ou tdoors and working with the soil, first farming and then in your garden. Y ou loved your family, especially time spent with grandchildren. You will n ever be forgotten and will always be in our hearts, forever.
