She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the memori es of spending time with her family. Helen Mary Elizabeth Verhagen was bo rn at home on April 8, 1918, in Wrightstown, WI, the daughter of the la te John and Katherine (Van Deurzen) Verhagen. She married Raymond Springst roh on June 29, 1944, in Appleton. Helen was employed at Appleton Medic al Center for 15 years.She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carole (Richard) Peters; thr ee grandchildren: Lisa (Steve) Wendt, Seymour, WI; Ruth (William) Snitsela ar, Hortonville, WI; and Richard (Therese) Peters, Darboy, WI; five great- grandchildren: Courtney and Heather Wendt; Will and Grace Snitselaar and E velyn Peters. She is further survived by a brother and sister-in-law: Raym ond (Martha) Verhagen, Wrightstown, WI; a sister and brother-in-law, Rosem ary (Byron) Derricks, Kaukauna, WI; and a sister-in-law, Grace Verhagen, K aukauna, WI.Helen was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 1994; sisters: Mildr ed Powell, Marie Clark, Clara Rutten, Eunice Borta, Agnes Penterman; thr ee brothers: Leo, Norbert and Raphael Verhagen.The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 200 6, at the Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N.
