- Daniel Sylvester Gonnering, N2986 French Road
Freedom Age 73, died at his home surrounding by his family on Thursday, Novemb er 9, 2000, following a brief illness. He was born on June 7, 1927, in Fre edom, the son of the late Peter and Louise (Weyenberg) Gonnering. On Octob er 15, 1949, he married the former Betty Lou Pratt. Daniel worked for t he Town of Freedom for over 20 years. He is survived by his nine childre n, Sue (Tom) Phillips, Green Bay; Chris (Dick) Dombrowski, Freedom; Lin da (Richard) Brennecke, Appleton; Cheri (Ken) Prahl, New London; Jeanie (D ave) Schroeder, Wisconsin Rapids; Bonnie (Bill) Heindl, Kaukauna; Molly (P aul) Van De Loo, Kaukauna; Teresa (Marty) Dawson, Friendship; Julie (Scot t) Backus, Kaukauna; 19 grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Carli, Milwaukee; S arah Phillips, Milwaukee; Vicky (Jeff) Calaway, Appleton; Dan Dombrowsk i, Freedom; Michael, Tina, Lisa and Matthew Prahl, all of New London; Nico le Schroeder, Madison; Rachel Schroeder, Wisconsin Rapids; Steve, Miran da and Melanie Heindl, Kaukauna; Bobbi Jo and Brian Van De Loo, Kaukaun a; Mikayla and Cole Dawson, Friendship; Brandi and Kristofer Backus, Kauka una; three step grandchildren, Becky (Bill) McEmery, Connecticut; Rick Bre nnecke, Grand Chute; Connie (Gene) Stevers, Brillion; four great-grandchil dren and four step great-grandchildren. Daniel is further survived by a si ster-in-law, Florence Gonnering, Freedom, and several nieces and nephew s. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in 1999; his parents; two b rothers, Norbert and Lawrence Gonnering, and a sister, Regina Kearney. Fun eral services will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2000, at the Far go Funeral Home. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Frien ds may call directly at the funeral home on Monday from 1 p.m. until the t ime of services.

God saw he was getting tired,
