- Rural Kaukauna Man Found Dead; Martin Hermans, 76, route 1, Kaukauna, was found dead at his home shortly before 7 o'clock this morning. Coroner Bernard Kemps said Hermans apparently died sometime Thursday morning from natural causes. No inquest will be held. Hermans body was found by John G. West, a bakery truck driver who stopped at the home. Kaukauna Police Chief Harold Engerson said Hermans was last seen Wednesday by a neighbor. He apparently suffered a seizure while drinking coffee at the kitchen table. Hermans was born in DePere June 9, 1879, and lived in Kaukauna for the last 43 years. He worked last as a pipe fitter at the Thilmany Pulp and Paper company. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 Monday morning at Holy Cross Catholic church, Kaukauna, with burial in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, Kaukauna after 7:30 Saturday evening and after 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Survivors include two sons, John of Kaukauna, and Walter of Milwaukee; 3 daughters, Mrs. Peter Natrop, Kaukauna, Mrs. John Sesolak and Miss Mary Hermans, both of Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Bertha LeNoble, Little Chute; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren..
