- Liebergen, Stella E.Stella E. Liebergen, age 90, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2005, at Cher ry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. She was born on October 4, 1915, to the la te Arnold and Rose (Daul) Verstegen. Stella married Harold Liebergen Ju ne 14, 1936. Stella retired from the Red Owl and enjoyed her cottage in Wi nneconne where she loved fishing with Dad. In her earlier years she did vo lunteer work for St. Vincent De Paul. She loved to knit and crochete. S he was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church for many years.Stella is survived by seven children: Donna (Tom) Lesselyong, Appleton; Vo nnie Hillman, Plover; Joanie (Marv) Heller, Appleton; Sharon (Jim) Water s, Menasha; Barb (Chip) Waters, Appleton; Karen (Randy) Kempf, Fremont; Ma ry (Kraig) Ruhnke, Menasha; 22 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; a gr eat great grandchild; sister-in-law, Elsie Branchford; numerous nieces, ne phews and friends.She was preceded in death by husband, Harold; three brothers: Orville (Mar y) Verstegen, John Verstegen, and Norman Verstegen; five sisters: Lena (He nry) DeBruin, Rena (John) Gonnering, Blanche Vandenberg, Marie Williams, a nd Emma Verstegen; and a son-in-law, Tom Hillman.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at S t. Pius X Catholic Church with Father Tom Farrell officiating. Visitati on will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment wi ll be in St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery, Wrightstown.The family of Stella would like to sincerely thank her special friend Juli e, Angelus Retirement Community and Cherry Meadows for the wonderful ca re shown towards Mom.
