- Judith Helf, 62, Appleton, passed away at her home in Appleton, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. The former Judith Gebheim was born on September 24, 1945, in Appleton to the late Harold and Ernestine Gebheim. She married Joseph Helf in Little Chute at St. John's Catholic Church, October 7, 1967.
Judith was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and especially making pies for her husband. She loved to travel on cruises and liked to go to the casino. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Judy will be sadly missed by her husband, Joe; two daughters: Sara Helf of Crandon; Amy (Donald) Chilson, Green Bay; son, Matthew Helf of Appleton; grandchildren, Jack and Ella Chilson; sister, Shirley (Fred) Piette of Appleton; brother, Robert (Debra) Gebheim of Sherwood; brothers-in-law: David (Judi) Helf of Kaukauna; Nicholas (Jo) Helf of Oshkosh; sisters-in-law: Kay (John) Riedel of Pulcifer, Elizabeth (Charles) Larson of Texas, Mary Jill Helf of Appleton, Ann (Bill) Fischer of Little Chute; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be at 2:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Monday, November 12, 2007, in Appleton with Fr. Tom Farrell officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2007, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a prayer service starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Valley Funeral Home in Appleton and Monday afternoon at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service.
