Hildegarde "Susie" I. Schuessler, age 83, of Shiocton, passed away on February 22, 2008, at her daughters home in Neenah, surrounded by loved ones. Hildegarde was born on September 9, 1924, in New London, daughter of the late Albert and Helena (Schultz) Gresen. She was united in marriage on November 1, 1980, to Richard Schuessler. Her hobbies included reading True Story magazines, playing the slot machines at the casino and looking for "treasures" at local rummage sales. Hildegarde enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and never forgot a birthday.
Hildegarde is survived by her husband Richard, Shiocton; six daughters: Judith Radichel, Eagle River; Charlotte (Ron) Solberg, Neenah; Susan (Larry) Davis, Hortonville; Holly Thompson, Manawa; Rose Hutchinson (special friend Mike), New London; Linda (Ken) Guyette, New London and two sons: Richard (Linda) Thompson, Waupaca and Samuel (Liz) Thompson, New London; two brothers Leonard Gresen, Clintonville and Carl Gresen, Milwaukee. She is further survived by 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, Hildegarde was preceded in death by a brother Clarence, three sons: David, William and Robert, a daughter Roberta and a granddaughter Heidi.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2008, at 7 p.m. at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
We will greatly miss your wonderful sense of humor that brightened our days. But we know you will be watching over us. We love you and miss you dearly.
