- Marie Schroeder, age 92, passed away at Franciscan Care on Thursday, January 31, 2008. She was born in Menasha on March 31, 1916, to the late Charles and Bertha Ziegart.
Marie is survived by two sons: Donald Schroeder, Hilbert; Albert (Carol) Schroeder, Shawano; a daughter, Kathleen Lemke, Appleton; a daughter-in-law, Henrietta Schroeder, Appleton; 14 grandchildren: Larry (Vicki) Schroeder, Roy Schroeder, Tammy (Steve) Hoge, Bruce (Lynette) Schroeder, David (Pam) Lemke, Mark (Kathy) Lemke, Paul Lemke, Tim (Pam) Lemke, Connie (John) Shattock, Steve Schroeder, Keith (Cris) Schroeder, Sarah Rutter, Debbie (Bob) Strueber, Scott (Stacy) Schroeder;20 great-grandchildren: Crystal, Mark and Rachel Pagel, Alicia and Alayna Schroeder, Larissa, Garrett and Rachel Lemke, Chrisandra, Jesse Tetzlaff, Britny, Dakota Rutter, Damien, Shane and Danielle Caskey, Lexi and Amber Schroeder, Stephanie Shattock, Nick and Katie Schroeder; nine step-great-grandchildren: Crystal (Joe) Eisch, Trisha and Brian Diedrich, Joshua and MacKenzie Oehlke, Trish and Kayla Swanson, Christine and Mathew Hoge; step-great-great granddaughter, Casandra Eisch; step son-in-law, John (Joanne) Schroeder, Manitowoc and a step daughter-in-law, Madilyn Moscher, Milwaukee.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, five sisters: Rose Zarnoth, Clara Bodway, Edna Ziegart, Adeline Fischer, and Leona Stelter, a brother, Melvin Ziegart; two sons: Eugene and Clifford Schroeder; granddaughter, Lynn Carol Schroeder and a son-in-law, Ralph Lemke.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2008, at Valley Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Crane officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In other expressions of sympathy, a memorial is being established.
