  Ruby Louise (Parker) Grimmer, age 90, of Appleton, passed away at her home Wednesday, March 20, 2013. She was born April 23, 1922, daughter of the late Ollie and Margaret Parker. Ruby married Walter Grimmer on August 6, 1946, in Appleton, and they spent the next 64 years together. He preceded her in death in 2010. The most important part of Ruby's life were her children and grandchildren. Ruby was a homemaker and a tremendous cook who loved having everyone in her family get together for holidays, birthdays and special events. Ruby is survived byher sons, Dan (Judy), Tom (Beth): her grandchildren, Andy, Maddy, Lindsey, Nathan, and Tyler. Also, her brother Verl (Marion) Parker. Grief is the price we pay for having loved. Through all the tears and the sadness and the pain of grief comes one through that can make us smile again: we loved Ruby dearly and that love was returned many times over. And when we think about her there will come the time when our words will not be choked off by tears, but instead the memories will bring us joy and make us smile in fond recollection. In these words of Helen Keller, Ruby will always be with us: "What we have enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."
